v3.00
|
|
The first release of CompuFoil2000.

v3.02
|
|
Created
workaround for Windows NT4.0 help file bug which would
report that the help file is the incorrect type. I fixed
a few holes in the help file. I Added the ability to
load a file from the Planform Creation Wizard. If you
have a planform loaded within CompuFoil and you use
the wizard, you can change it and then when you click
the OK button, the planform shape will be updated to
your change within CompuFoil. If you don't have and
airfoil loaded when you run the wizard, and you then
load it with the wizard, you can then save the file
to disk.

v3.03
|
|
I added
support for my new program CC_ORDER.EXE within CompuFoil.
This program allows you to securely order items using
credit card over email. It will encrypt your order information
and add it to the email body for you

v3.04
|
|
I added
support to move jig holes and leading edge round stock
using your cursor keys once selected with a double click.
Pressing <Enter> will place the hole as well.
This ability was inadvertently documented in the help
file when the text was copied from the V-Notch section,
(documentation bug...). In the true spirit of CompuFoil,
I chose to add the functionality rather than simply
change the help file

v3.05a
|
|
I have
added the ability to automatically set the remaining
holes to the currently selected holes position and size.
This is done by double clicking on the hole, manipulating
it to where you want it, then right click on it. In
the resulting window, check the [X]Set All similar Holes
to these Dimensions option.

v3.06
|
|
I have added
the ability to specify a negative spar protrusion, (previously
only positive protrusion allowed)
|
05/24/2000
v3.07
|
|
I have added
the options to automatically size the trailing edge
tab such that the airfoil will lie on its the lowest
point and the tab. When this option is selected, only
a trailing edge tab will be produced.

v3.08
|
|
This change
concerns the trailing edge ramp. Previously, the ramp
angle was taken from the angle produced by the second
coordinate from the trailing edge and the trailing edge.
In order to make the resulting angle more consist ant,
I have changed this to the points at 95% and 97% back
from the leading edge. Furthermore, if the airfoil has
a split trailing edge and no sheeting, the ramp will
start at the end of the top surface if the ramp is to
follow the top surface, or start at the bottom surface
end if it is to follow the bottom surface angle. Previously,
it always started at the halfway point between the two
separated ends

v3.09
|
|
Add double
buffering routines to NACA Generator and PlanformWizard
as well as TE Flare Wizard to eliminate preview flicker
|
08/15/2000
v3.10
|
|
Added page
numbers to printer output for single sheet pages
|
09/13/2000
v3.11
|
|
Add double
buffering routines to NACA Generator and PlanformWizard
as well as TE Flare Wizard to eliminate preview flicker
|

v3.12
|
|
I added the
ability for the protrude dimension in the spar slot
window to influence the location of the spar when you
have the option selected to "[X]This spar's depth
is referenced from the camber line." By setting
the protrusion dimension as negative one half the spar
depth, and having this option checked, the spar will
always be centered on the mean camber line, no matter
where along the airfoil's length it is placed.

v3.12 - v3.18
|
|
Internal modifications
|
11/14/2001
v3.19
|
|
I added an
option for Joiner Tube Configuration in the JigHole
window. When this is checked, all ribs will have their
jig holes at the height that the root rib has them.
This will force them to maintain the same relative angle
and keep them inline. They will progress at the same
relative angle in height if you have a dihedral dimension
entered. Always check this option off if you are using
the holes for joiner tubes

v3.20
|
|
Previously,
when you opened the help file, the Windows help system
would disable CompuFoil as long as the help window was
open. I managed to work around this odd behavior
|
05/08/2002
v3.21
|
|
When you select
a different default coordinate path using the Defaults|Coordinate
Path menu, the file open window path will now be automatically
reset to reflect the new default path.
|
11/19/2003
v3.22
|
|
Added a Select
All button to the Create New Coordinate File window.
|
02/08/2004
v3.23
|
|
Added ability
to print wing lengths over 129". Max is now
about 330"
