09/22/2001

  • Updated the help file

09/25/2001

  • Worked on help file.
  • Added option to not to load last top on program startup
  •  Added option for direct number entry of knob diameter and tape height.
  •  Context help button on tool bar (arrow with the question mark), now works for the menu items. Help for all other items in the program can be found by performing a right mouse click it

09/28/2001

  • Started using a different installation package. This solved the database installation problems.

09/29/2001

  • I modified the database format slightly. In some cases you would get a warning message that a certain field cannot contain zero members. In order to take advantage of the new format, export your tapes as ScopeKnob data files (under the File menu). Next create a new database file, (also under the file menu). Import your data files and save them in the new database.

10/11/2001

  • Slight modifications to the help file. Fixed request for additional license file function.

10/20/2001 v1.0.5

  •  I added the option to enumerate the tick marks starting at zero or one.

10/28/2001 v1.0.6

  • I've added the option to reverse the order of the tick enumerations as well as shift the tick the numbers start at

04/16/2002 v1.0.7

  • Changed database format. This eliminates the error you can get when you have a value entered, such as in the yardage color override, and then you delete it and save it to the database. You used to get an error about an empty field. To update yourself to the new database format, select each of your tapes, then perform a File/Export ScopeKnob Datafile, creating a data file for each tape. Now perform a File/Create New Database File function and generate a new database. Perform File/Import ScopeKnob Datafile for each data file you created. Also jot down the Dataset Title listed in the database window, because as you import the data files, you will be prompted for a data set title which will be listed in the database

06/21/2002 v1.0.9

  • Added large icon toolbar as well as adding more buttons. You can now select to save the existing yardage formatting when importing a new ATEAB chart. I added the "@" symbol to the list of yardage modifiers. Previously, to raise a yardage number 1/2 font height, you had to use a comma, (raises it one font height) and a period (lowers one half font height), to achieve this.
  • I added a zoom max and zoom min button. Clicking it a second time will take you back to the previous zoom.
  • If you run the 800x600 resolution mode, the software will now remember the splitter bar position the next time you run the software

06/27/2002 v1.1.0

  •  I added the ability to adjust the gap between multiple tape images when printing. Both the number of images and gap are also now restored to the last settings when you start the program.

07/23/2002 v1.1.1

  •  I added the ability for the ScopeKnob program to check this web site for updates. It can then download the update and install it automatically.

07/31/2002 v1.1.2

  • A ballistics module has been added! You can now generate click data directly within ScopeKnob. (Screenshot above) and transfer it directly. The interface allows for easy adjustment of parameters to meet real world yardage results.

09/05/2002 v1.1.3

  • I have added an auto-iterate button to the ballistics module. By entering in the desired number of clicks and pressing the button, it will automatically adjust the ballistic parameters to match your real world results.
  • I also added the ability to alter font orientation for the yardage. NOTE!!! due to a past database bug, when you open your old tapes, you may notice that your yardage numbers are upside down. Click on the [Yardage Font] button and change the Text Angle to 0 degrees, and then save the tape

10/01/2002 v1.1.4

  •  I fixed a bug where the update feature would give an error

10/16/2002 v1.1.5

  • I added the ability to define the font, size, type and orientation for all three bands of numbers. Fixed a bug on importing ATEAB chart #

10/23/2002 v1.1.6

  • I added the ability to specify the yardage line colors as well as their thickness

12/15/2002 v1.1.7

  • I added the ability for the program to automatically check for updates on startups
  • Fixed a problem where if you clicked on the caption button, then clicked anywhere NOT in the tape window, the caption was produced but you couldn't get to it.

1/21/2003 v1.1.8

  • Internal modification related to new website hosting.

2/13/2003 v1.1.9

  • Fixed a bug were an imported scopeknob .dat datafile was not preserving the creation and last modification data.  Also, tape was not recognizing as having been modified if you deleted a caption.  I also added the ability to escape out of a caption selection by pressing the escape key..

2/16/2003 v1.2.0

  • A corrupted file broke the ability to create a new tape database. This has been fixed

3/4/2003 v1.2.1

  • Fixed a problem where the font type for wrap two and wrap three text was not being saved with the tape.

3/5/2003 v1.2.2

  • Added the ability to automatically reduce longs strings of yardages when transferring the data from the Ballistics module to the tape..  For example, if your yardages are 25,26,27,28,29, it will be reduced to 25,::,29.  This keeps the tape readable
