The user simply selects the tab for the class of N.A.C.A.
airfoil that is desired. Now simply selecting option
buttons constructs the airfoil on the fly, with the
shape automatically previewed below.
When
you have the shape you want, the OK
button is selected. This brings the NACA airfoil into
CompuFoil3D. From here you may continue
to refine your template for use, or if you are only
interested in producing the coordinate file, the menu
item File/Save As... is selected. Your
NACA airfoil can now be used in the lofting module to
auto-generate complete sets of ribs.
